Four-row tapered roller bearing introduction

1. Introduction of four-row tapered roller bearings

Four-row tapered roller bearings have been successfully used in bearing configurations for rolling mills around the world at low to medium speeds. Due to its design, such bearings are capable of withstanding axial loads occurring in such applications outside of radial loads, and generally do not require additional thrust bearings in the bearing arrangement. This means that the roll journals can be relatively short and the bearing housings on both sides of the roll can be of the same design. Due to the design of the four-row tapered roller bearing, this bearing must be mounted as a complete bearing on the roll chock. In order to be able to change rolls quickly, such bearings must be loosely fitted on the roll journal. The disadvantage of the loose fit is that the inner ring creeps on its base under the main load conditions, which usually causes wear of the base with a lower hardness than the bearing ring.

2, four-row tapered roller bearing advantages

The axial positioning on the roll journal is simplified due to the reduced inner ring width tolerance; the size is the same as the conventional four-row tapered roller bearing with intermediate ring. The four-row tapered roller bearing has a wide range of applications, including not only the traditional design with an intermediate ring between the outer ring and/or the inner ring, but also a modified four-row tapered roller with the intermediate ring and the bearing ring. Specific advantages of the sub-bearings include – simplified installation due to fewer components; improved load distribution of the four-row rollers, reducing wear and extending service life; SKF belts are used to make full use of these advantages in all applications The traditional design of the middle ring is gradually transforming into a new design. Four-row tapered roller bearings are manufactured according to the TQO design. The main difference is the structure or configuration of the roller and cage assembly and the number of inner and outer rings specified. However, almost all bearings use TQO bearings.

3, four-row tapered roller bearing application

Tapered roller bearings mainly bear radial and axial combined loads. The bearing capacity of the bearing depends on the raceway angle of the outer ring. The larger the angle, the greater the load carrying capacity. This type of bearing is a split type bearing, which is divided into single row, double row and four row tapered roller bearings according to the number of rows of rolling elements in the bearing. The clearance of the single-row tapered roller bearing needs to be adjusted by the user during installation; the double-row and four-row tapered roller bearing clearance has been given according to the user's requirements at the time of shipment from the factory, and no user adjustment is required. Tapered roller bearings are widely used in automobiles, rolling mills, mining, metallurgy, plastic machinery and other industries.

Through the introduction of the four-row tapered roller bearing, the advantages of the four-row tapered roller bearing, and the application of the four-row tapered roller bearing, we can already understand the characteristics and properties of these products. After years of reform and opening up, China's science and technology and economy have already achieved tremendous results. It is believed that this is very beneficial for the future development of four-row tapered roller bearings.
